I'm going plant-based_With Cass

I will be starting a plant-based diet. "Let's just take a moment". This is something that I've thought about for 8 months now, and finaly decided that I'm going to do it. Let's take a step back into the past and then, I will talk about why I'm doing this.

Growing up my family never did the whole dieting thing. We had a mixture of meals we ate but, nothing specific towards a certain plan. I've never been on a strict  diet or eating plan. There was a time in my life where I tried to eat clean or so I told myself, that was an on and off situation for about 2 years. So other than that this will be my first strict diet.

If you are not formilier with a plant-based diet. A plant-based diet is when the majority of your food consists of plants like fruits and vegetables. When doing a plant-based diet the diet also includes grains, legumes, nuts and seeds. Sometimes there are a few or no animal products in the diet, it just depends from person to person.

There is just a small description of what the diet is. I will be doing no animal or dairy products and I'll be cutting out all sweet things aswell. I really want to put my all into this diet from the start to the end. My main goal is to do it for 6 months, the diet will start on the 1st of September untill the end of March. I will be blogging about this and be sharing weekley to monthly updates. Make sure to follow me on Instagram and twitter to see my daily updates and things that won't be in the blogs.

The whole month of August I will be preparing  myself for the diet, by eliminating all the things I will not be eating throughout the diet. I will be going from eating veggies 2 - 3 times a week to 3 times a day. I am also going to be working on my workout routine, where I will be going from 15 - 20 min workouts 3 - 5 times a week to 20 - 45 min workouts 5 - 7 times a week. I know that it's going to be a huge change but I believe I can do it.

During the month of August I'm also testing out some plant-based and vegan recipes to see what works for me and what doesn't. I just want to get a few go-to recipes and have an idea of how it is going to be. During the 6 months I will still be trying out new recipes.

Plant-based diets has so many health benefits. It helps in the following; lowers your risks of strokes, diabetes and heart diseases, it has also shown to help with some mental illnesses. This diet can also help to lower your blood pressure and also help to improve your good cholesterol. It can also keep your brain strong. The plant-based diet can also help your risk of obesity.

I will be doing a follow-up blog on what I have prepared for my first month.
