Glute exercises

Hey guys.

Welcome back to my blog.
If this is your first time reading my blog.
Welcome to the blog.

I am Cass,

The past few weeks I have been writing
weekly blog posts on different exercises
and what part of our body they help us build up.

If you have missed those blogs, you can go
back to my blogs home page and have a look.

Before I start I just want to say that I am not
a professional in fitness. I am sharing my journey
with you and all of the different things I learn.

Benefits of glute exercises.

Keeping you upright.

Your glute muscles are the reason you
can stand up. The muscles in your butt
work in tandem with your core to help
stabilize and support your spine while you
sit, move or stand.

You can prevent injuries.

Glutes are one of the main supporters
of your lower back. When glute muscles
are weak, they may not be able to preform
their main function; Hip extensions. If your
glutes can't do it, your body will find other
muscles to take over their job. But these
replacement muscles weren't designed for
that task, they can become over-stressed
quite easily, which can lead to pain and
compression in the lumbar spine, knees and hips.

Increase athletic performance.

Stronger glutes will improve your speed,
jumping skills, agility and side-to-side movements
will become easier. Every time you take a step,
your glute max shores up your pelvis and SI joint
for stability. When you run, this is even more important,
since the force of impact increases exponentially on
each foot strike.

Here are 10 glute exercises

Crossover Lunges
Side lunge shift
Single leg hip lift
Donkey kicks
Side leg raises
Fire hydrants
Wall sit
